Always a big fun to chase all French Departments & DOM-TOM on all bands + being called when on "run" !

Hi all,

I had some fun this week-end during the CQ WW SSB contest in chasing new band slots with "LotW users only" when I was at the shack... That is to say 2 hours on the whole week-end

The excellent propagation on 10M made me add 3 new ones (EY8MM, AH0BT, KG6DX) and 4 new band slot on this band (EX2B, HK1NA, 6Y9X, C5A)...

On 15M again AH0BT, 6Y9X plus AH2R and 9Y4W... (new slots)

On 20M AH2R & C5A for 2 another new band slots...

On 160M (yes, I did it ! ) 4 new ones with LN9Z, OT5A, PI4D &  IZ0GIF...

Nothing new on 40M, nor on 80M as the vertical is tuned for CW portion only...

A nice surprise in the mail : a 1st Place in the CQWW WPX 2011 when I was in Corsica !

Oh, nothing exceptional as I was probably the only TK station who made some QSOs during this contest, but it is always enjoyable to received such "paper"...

Hi, finally the 2011 REF CW & SSB contests' results arrived !

My objective was reached : to finish in the ten firsts in CW => for my second participation in the CW contest, I am 8th General for this year, and I am 3rd in Low Power category !

I was working with my old TH3MKIII on high bands, so now with the Optibeam I think I can do better again on 10-15-20M bands in next end January...

On the SSB part, I was QRV only some hours in order to give points for the department : only 72nd place General and 41st in Low Power category...

...but the objective for the department was reached, we finish FIRST on the CW part, and SECOND on the SSB part... we won the REF CUP this year ! Thanks to all and see you next year, well, in 2 months now !

Not QRV all the week-end, I could work almost 18h in the SSB contest...

Here's my modest SSB score for this year :

I could work all but one (still my neighbour department 46 ! ) of my missing DDFMs on 40M SSB ! The 2B - 09 - 48 - 69 - 70 - 82 & 90 are finally in log for the "DDFM 40M SSB Excellence"...

On 80M SSB, it is +9 new DDFMs, I still need 7 departments on the 96 on this band mode...

On 20M SSB, it is +11 new DDFMs...

On 15M SSb, it is +17 new DDFMs...

On 10M SSB, it is +8 new DDFMs...

Not so bad with 80W in SSB into my old TH3MKIII 

An excellent opening to JA, VK, FK (FK8HA on 20M SSB new band mode ! ) the Sunday morning & to the West Indies + NA the afternoon decorated the contest on 15 & 20M.

Well, a good week-end contest "for the fun of it" here...
