Hi all, This is the new ICOM 7600 HF/50MHz transceiver. I ordered it on Grupo HG in Spain. Rod EA7JX is very professional and reactive : I ordered my transceiver on last Thursday afternoon, he posted it to me on the Friday (Air Mail), and UPS delivered it to me on this Tuesday !
Here's what you will receive : What you have when opening the big box... and good surprise, the mini Icom keyboard freely included for PSK/RTTY ! And here's the beast !
First tests : the CW filters + NR are doing an incredible job with very weak signals on noisy frequency ! The SSB filters are also great but sigs have to be louder than in CW in order to be correctly comprehensive. The PSK/RTTY decoder is really nice : no PC required, just typing directly on the keyboard... DUAL WATCH on the same band is very appreciated ! Icom made a GREAT product that I have to discover more and more now, but one thing is sure : I am NOT disappointed with this ICOM 7600 ! Chris F8DZY.
