Yesterday afternoon, I decided to re-activate "Salères" SOTA F/SO-003 (very close to my home and only 151m. ASL) in order to test my ICOM 7000 + mini-paddle...
SOTA chasers were ready and, even if very short activity (25 minutes), I could log 37 stations from 11 DXCC (G, HB, DL, ON, F, I, S5, OK, 9A, OE & HA).
Partial view of the log :
Keying with the mini-paddle is really pleasantly surprising and funny
The ICOM 7000 have a nice RX for weak sigs and great design, I am quite happy with it ! (previously using an ICOM 706MKII for portable operations).
Test of the mini-paddle at home :
Now ready for the next /P activity...
