Hi all ! From February 6th to 18th, 5X8C Uganda by F6KOP Team will take place on our bands !!

One the first big DX-peditions of the year, for sure they'll again have a great success

5X is not a new one for me, worked & confirmed from 10M to 40M, I will especially look at them on 80M & 160M CW.

And of course, try to fill the missing slots in priority...

Hi, a very nice DX-pedition, breaking all time number of QSOs made by a Polish team just ended with 5T0SP Mauritania, big big job done there, as 6M would have been my last possible band but no opening at this period here, I decided to work them on RTTY on their last day...

I added 10M, 17M & 20M RTTY for a new mode & 3 new slots. Chasing only new slots for this DXpedition, Mauritania is now worked on all bands-modes ! Great activity guys !!

Hi all,

Yesterday I couldn't add any new slot : too many people and really too weak here...

But this morning, again in a very short time (25 minutes between each QSO) I could add 2 new bands with 17M CW & 15M CW !!

I hear them also on 40M CW but very QSB signal, add to this a slow operator VS a hard pile-up => I will wait for another day if possible...

Another good new : my 2 firsts QSOs are OK in the Online log !

Edit: 1014UTC just logged them on 17M SSB, they replied to F5UKW and I "jumped" behind... (Tried before but in vain, QSYed to 30M CW : impossible for now, came back to 17M SSB and then 1st call... Merci Cédric !)

Hi all, after this QRMed week-end, it is finally possible to hear ZL9HR DXpedition to Campbell Island IOTA OC-037 !

And what a signal ! 0600UTC, I switch on the radio, ZL9HR is spotted on 20M SSB & CW, large split but ZL9HR is real 59 here (as in most Europe I beleive !)

Some minutes studying the split & operator and here we go, some calls on 20M SSB and in the log ! ALL TIME NEW ONE !!! My worked DXCC #297 and my worked IOTA #408 !!

Then, I QSYed on 20M CW, huge signal again ! I found the split very quickly, 3 calls and IN THE LOG again ! WOW ! 2 slots in 2 minutes, it won't be easy to do better here... I have tomorrow again as a free day in order to add new band but my main goal is already reached, new QSO will be a GREAT bonus !

Hi all, some days since my last post : I had no time to write another new article before, sorry...

Well, after my previous QSOs, on the next day I could add the 10M SSB in the afternoon, and in the evening the 160M CW slot !

Was just missing the 40M for all bands, and as I was leaving early in the next morning for job during a long period, I thought it would be not possible but... they QSYed on 40M CW at 2200UTC !! I asked my wife for a 10-15 minutes opportunity before going to bed (the classical "I don't understand you" answer... ) and then I switched on the station !

Bad luck, just when ready to call, PT0S operator asks for "SA only" ! Then it was "JA only" ! I don't speak about the QRMers & usual EU LIDs continuously calling... I was about to switch off very quickly when the op. finally answers a SM station ! Everybody was up 5 and more, I took my chance up 4 with several calls, and that was it : PT0S answered me "F8DZY 599" !! BINGO ! Last missing band in 15 minutes !!! I can go to bed more than happy...

I was really in hurry to see their online log the following days... The first batch of update confirmed all QSOs from 80M to 12M, but 160M CW & 10M SSB were missing !

One hour later, a second batch of update arrived, and then my 160M CW QSO is confirmed ! YES !!

The 10M SSB QSO is missing, I think the operator forgot to press "ENTER" or busted my call because I am 200% sure this QSO is OK, I will see later by e-mail for confirmation.

I am absolutely more than happy with all these QSOs in 2 days 1/2 before leaving home : for an all time new one here, it is really a great result in a such limited time ! Congrats to the 4 ops and I really wish good luck to all of you, many days still remaining for adding them in your log ! Thanks to my wife too for supporting our addicting hobby...
